European Judges Seminar Details Announced

The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), American Paint Horse Association (APHA) and Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) will conduct the next AQHA / APHA / ApHC European Judges Seminar and Qualifying Exam on March 28 through April 1, 2012, at the Seehotel in Niedernberg, Germany, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the Frankfurt airport.

In addition to providing an excellent educational opportunity for anyone interested in expanding their judging knowledge, potential judge applicants will have the opportunity to test to become an approved AQHA European Judge, APHA European Judge and/or ApHC European Judge.

The seminar will offer one day of continuing education for carded European judges on March 28, two days of classroom instruction on March 29-30, followed by two days of testing for judge applicants on March 31-April 1.

Equine judging professional Joe Carter and AQHA Senior Director of Judges Alex Ross will lead the educational sessions. A variety of material will be covered including the current rule books and 11 classes: halter, Western pleasure, hunter under saddle, Western riding, trail, showmanship, horsemanship, hunt seat equitation, reining, working cow horse and cutting.

The deadline to register for the seminar is February 24. To receive the reduced room rate at the hotel, make your reservations by February 14 and be sure to mention you are attending the seminar.
