2012 International Committee

Standing committees are a primary component of any association. The International Committee is just one of 13 committees working to make a positive contribution to the efficient operation of the APHA. This committee’s mission is to discuss and study topics important to the APHA at the international level, with a goal of reaching a consensus and recommending a course of action to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on these issues.

The majority of APHA committees meet twice a year at Workshop and Convention. Because the members of the International Committee come from around the world, historically, the group has met at the European Paint Horse Championship in Germany and at the APHA World Championship Show in Texas.

As an APHA member, you have the right to vote in the annual director election to choose your local representatives, either at the state or national level. We also encourage you to contact your elected representative and share your thoughts and suggestions regarding those issues that concern you, so that they in turn can bring these issues to the attention of the International Committee.
